Costa Rica Two
Posted by Simon
The day after seeing the Macaws we set off again in search of monkeys. Our excellent guide Tony from the Marriott took us to Manuel Antonio National Park.
We walked on some beautiful beaches.
We saw two toed and three toed sloths and many birds.
Then finally as we were walking toward the exit we saw Capuchin Monkeys. They were unafraid of us and came to within a few feet.
Life is Good. I’ll post an album on Flickr in a few days.
Nostalgia

The willow tree that Nurit and I got married under in 1976 in Jack and Eva’s backyard fell into their swimming pool during the recent storms.
It came up by the roots but didn’t tear down any of the retaining walls.
Ramon cut it up and carted it away. I’ll find a wedding picture and show the way it used to be.
Costa Rica One

Nurit and I are in Costa Rica. For the first few days we stayed at the beautiful and serene house of our Arizona friends Tony and Maria S.
It is on the beach in Puntarenas. The birds that look like grackles swim in the pool.
Today we journeyed south across the Crocodile River to the Carara National Park. We hooked up with a private tour and had the extreme good luck to see a pair of Macaws.
Tonight we are staying at the Marriot Los Suenos in preparation for a trip tomorrow to Manuel Antonio Park to see Monkeys.

Local Birds

This is an Acorn Woodpecker with an acorn in his beak. He is getting ready to store it in the telephone pole. I’m already feeling like Marlin Perkins and we are heading to Costa Rica tomorrow in search of the elusive Quetzal Bird.

New Fountain Installation
Posted by Simon
This is an interim photo of the new fountain installation we made at my home.
I got five rocks in the summer and one of them was drilled by Mark E locally. I installed it solo a few weeks ago. Mark did an excellent job drilling the rock and Dr Payne’s new plinth worked very well.
I took a series of pictures of the installation using a tripod and remote and posted them on Flickr
