2011 Resolutions
Posted by Simon
Last year I blogged two resolutions:
Don’t pick up pennies.
and
Only make up words I know how to spell.
This year I’m going to be more serious:
Resolved in 2011 I am going to:
Laugh at everybody’s jokes.
and
Write a monthly article on the Right to Migrate.

Toilet Paper Tube Henge 2010
Posted by Simon
It was an an amazing event. Twenty people gathered to see the worlds first ever henge made out of toilet paper tubes. Kimberly Clark’s announcement that the toilet paper tube was an endangered species inspired this tribute.
A poem about the end of the Tube written by Rachel B was read by Katie W. Video to follow on YouTube when I can figure it out.
And because there were extra tubes we spontaneously built the awful tower.
Special thanks to Randy, Joe and Johnny for building this unique cultural icon.
Remarkable.

The Tattoo Bomber

We had the shoe bomber and at airport security they made us take of our shoes.
We had the underwear bomber and at airport security they are checking our underwear.
Now there is a new threat:
The Tattoo Bomber
Non Explosive Tattoo, courtesy of my friend Hillary, for illustration only
Recent advances in micro-encapsulation technology have created the possibility that a terrorist tattoo artist could create an explosive tattoo. It would explode when the micro capsules injected with the tattoo ink were broken and the chemicals components mixed together in a massive blast.
TSA is considering how to proactively thwart this potential threat. Current proposals include: punching everyone who has a tattoo on their tattoo before they are allowed to board a plane and not letting people with more than eight square inches of tattoo fly.

Autumn in Pasadena
Posted by Simon
While it is blizzarding in the Midwest here in Pasadena we are having a beautiful Autumn with 80 degree temperatures and crystal clear skies.
As a result we can doubly enjoy the season. Once because it is so beautiful and second schadenfreude.
Schadenfreude is a German word meaning deriving pleasure from the misfortune of others.
